Painting with Light
which Describe one photo from painting with light.
The second photo is a slow shutter speed. I had a string of multicolored lights that i moved up and down while the camera was taking the photo. This created vertical lines of light across my body and face.
What shutter speed is the camera on for this photo?
For this photo we used the slow shutter speed of 15 seconds.
What light source did you use to complete the painting?
This photo uses a string of Christmas lights of different colors.
How did you achieve the image/effect?
For this image I moved the lights up and down very fast over and over for the full fifteen seconds.
What impact does this photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at this photo?
I did this photo so that i could overlay another image of the lights going horizontally. I wanted to create the effect of imprisonment, which was in fact achieved by this original image too.

For inside of the school but not with light boxes I used an ISO of 1000 and a white balance of fluorescent light.
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field?
On the picture that focuses solely on the green book, I used an f-stop of f-4.8.
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
Fluorescent light for white balance and an ISO of 1000.
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?
when the background has something that you want to be included in the piece.

Point of View
What object did you choose to shoot for your photos?
I chose to take pictures of my headphones to represent my love of music.
What personal significance does this object have?
I love music and listen to music whenever I can. It helps me through a lot and makes me super happy, and I like to share music with people close to me.
Describe the various points of view you used for your photographs.
For some pictures I used a direct overhead view of the headphones. For two other pictures I used an angle that was further away and wasn't exactly directly overhead; these pictures have more focus on the actual headphones rather than the shapes made by the cables. The last point of view I used was straight on with the headphones hanging from the top of the light box. These photos show more detail within the tops of the headphones.
How did you avoid distracting backgrounds?
I set my photos within a lightbox. For all but one photo I had to use photoshop tools to remove distracting shadows from the photos.
How did you consider angle and depth of field in your photos?
For these photos i really tried to get different points of view of the headphones. I placed them in different positions to play with the shadows they created as well as see differences within the focus on the object from different distances.
